Building a powerteam will increase your referrals

Good afternoon BNI Embarcadero,

As your Power Team Coordinator, I want to relay some of the benefits of belonging to a Power Team. I found this blog post from a BNI member and thought I would share some of the highlights.

  • Everyone has a primary power team, which is where your focus is in business, and most have a secondary power team.
  • 70% of your referrals will naturally come from within your power team!
  • To increase your business, it would be beneficial to you to not only build strong relationships within your power team, but also invite people from open categories that would be in your power team. The more in your power team, the more referrals you will get.

Also, BNI power teams are the base of any chapter. The stronger the teams, the stronger our chapter will be.

We currently have the following four Power Teams:

  1. Legal – Chair: Bob Gates
  2. Financial – Chair: Kevin Casey
  3. Marketing Makeover – Chair: Gil Zeimer
  4. Health (to be renamed) – Chair: Colleen O’Connor

If you are not already involved with one of these Power Teams, please contact me or one of the Chairs listed above to get connected. Also, let me know if there is a Power Team you would like to start.

Feel free to contact me after tomorrow’s meeting if you have any questions or comments.

Best,

Gabriel
