Rex White at Cartridge World in San Francisco recently opened a new location of Cartridge World at 272 Bush Street in San Francisco. Rex had an idea to use Rackafracka cartoons on a dry erase board in the lobby of his new store to grab attention for some products that he sells. He also bought some single panel cartoons that were printed at a poster size and hung them on the wall. All the cartoons are promoting Cartridge World and the products that they sell. Fritz Cartoons and the Queen of Quick Books

Thanks to the power of BNI, my cartoons have been referred to another business in need of custom cartoons. The Queen of Quick Books (former member of BNI Embarcadero) wanted to use a Rackafracka cartoon to advertise in a humorous way that her company of bookkeepers were the RIGHT team for any bookkeeping needs that a company might have. So the idea that I came up with is a baseball team trying to do a couple forms of math. In the cartoon the baseball team is clearly struggling because math and dealing with bookkeeping is not in their wheel house. This cartoon was published in a e-newsletter that had an article right under the cartoon that complimented the message saying that in order to handle your company’s bookkeeping you should get the RIGHT team for the job.

Perfect referrals for my custom cartoons for business are company’s that have a message that they want to share using humor. If they are doing direct mail, newsletters, email marketing, or even event invitations or evites, a custom cartoon can be on topic and carry the right message. And if the cartoon is funny enough readers may even hang it up at their desk along with your branding or contact information.

Local Cartoonist Work for I.O.U.’s

Many of you in BNI have received cartoons from me as part of my seven minute cartoon ritual during your presentation. Most of the jokes I come up with while you are speaking and I try to make them topical to the subject matter of your presentation.

This last month the United States Treasury’s Bureau of National Debt had issued a request for bid out the world of cartoonists to perform on the spot cartoons for the low self esteem employees of the Bureau. Yours truly actually considered the idea to bid since this is what I do most every day. How ever Yahoo reported in this article that the whole idea was scratched since a congress person did not see the value in raising the moral of the people having to issue out I.O.U.’s to other countries. Plus I would have demanded money up front since you know the Bureau of National Debt is in the hole, I gotsta get paid!

Real Estate Going Digital

In recent 30 second commercials I’ve been telling everyone that I’ve had recent success by helping real estate developments like shopping centers, retail stores, and business parks cover the dark and empty lots with full color window coverings.

There is a lot of commercial real estate available out there because of the down economy. With so much available, a regular for lease sign won’t cut it. Especially when your neighbor is hiring a sign guy like me to digital print and install full color vinyl graphics to brighten up the space. Our clients have used life-style photos and colorful images to showcase the property as something that is full of possibilities.

Rackafracka Teams Up With Buchalter Nemer

I like this news letter because it is very well designed and professional. I don’t know if this was design on purpose by Buchalter’s designer or if it was a happy mistake but the colors of the motif on the front matches my cartoon perfectly.

Our very own Dan Wheeler from Buchalter Nemer was the one who introduced me their marketing department. I’ve been doing custom cartoons for them for about a year now.
