Hi BNI’ers
Taking an email opportunity to loudly applaud and thank more concisely the generous contributions of two of our members having rushed through this story during my infomercial yesterday. Sharon Schanzer and Seth Tajbakhsh donated their respective services to our all volunteer nutrition Afterschool program I have teamed with Andreas Schwerte in developing and presenting.
To highlight
Our players: Sharon designed and executed the “Healthy Kids Cookbook” and spent additional hours with us sharing ideas, etc in PHF meetings; Seth and Copymat Digibranch are providing full color printing for a quantity of finished, bound books.
Going above and beyond: Sharon gracefully accommodated our 13th hour content changes/corrections while Seth and his team likewise graciously bore the burden of additional printing steps in turn. From start to finish, they both demonstrated utmost professionalism and quality along with lots of ‘heart’ and community spirit that enabled us to produce the program cookbook that is a valuable keepsake and tool for the participating children. This beautiful cookbook will also serve as a display tool for PHF while we approach other public elementary schools in San Francisco to grow and spread our cost-free program.
PHF pairs parents and their children in a 4 week program teaching them about healthy foods and how to prepare them in a fun and constructive setting.
Thanks for your ear… This is a wonderful case study of BNI Embarcadero in action: that we can also be a concrete force for change in our community. An additional note: other BNI members have met with us or expressed interest in being part of our team and we welcome you! More on that later…
My deepest thanks!
